Hi, I’m Mathieu, registered orthopaedic technologist in orthopaedic footwear technology since 2001 and head of FeetoCare.

I was brought up with a passion for orthopaedics. My father, Xavier Berteele, is also an orthopaedic technologist and director of the former Cebelor, one of the leading companies in our sector. He is also President of the Belgian Professional Association for Orthopaedic Technologies (BBOT).

Our family ties give us the privilege of benefiting from first-hand expertise and know-how, and of being well-informed about developments and legislation in our sector.

I consciously chose this fine profession and graduated as an orthopaedic footwear technologist in 2002. Since then, I’ve been active in the sector, gaining experience in patient fitting, workshop management, patient care, administration, engineering and product development.

After a long career as an employee, the time had come to take on a new challenge as an independent orthopaedic shoe technologist, and I’m bringing my years of accumulated knowledge and experience directly to you.
